Welcome to July glow up goals. These are glow up goals that I give in different months. I will not get tired of saying how much I love glow ups in different life areas. I know they help reduce stress and also make us ladies appreciate and care for ourselves in ways we did not think mattered. In today’s July glow up tips, I will be dividing them into two categories; Healthy lifestyle and daily self-care and mindfulness. Let’s dive in.

These two categories in the July glow up goals will make it easier to categorize your goals.
Daily self-care and mindfulness
1. Treat yourself
Girl, you deserve the best, you need to know and accept that. If no one is treating you this July then take yourself out. Go on a solo date, pamper yourself to a manicure or pedicure. Make it a July glow up goal to treat yourself.
2. Continue or begin gratitude journaling
This helps you focus on the positives in your life. It is okay to journal but push it on the positive side more. Journal on only the things that bring you joy. Things that make you happy and also what you are grateful for. You can start with what you are grateful for since the year started or when you reached a milestone for example; When you switched into your career or moved to a new house.
3. Speak positively about yourself
In July and all through out the year, it is important to always speak positively about yourself. In summer the sun is hot and we tend to wear less clothes, this can be intimidating especially if your consider your body not being the “perfect” according to society’s standards. With that in mind you should start speaking positively about yourself, this is regardless of your flaws.
4. Morning and evening skincare routines
Follow your skin care routine and never skip it. Whether it is exfoliating, cleansing or just using serums. A consistent skin care routine does wonders to your skin which in turn makes it look beautiful adding on to your self esteem and overall glow.
5. Daily sunscreen application
Sunscreen is important, it protects your skin. You should aim at applying sunscreen every day to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. Additionally, you can be carrying the sunscreen and reapplying it after every two hours when you are outside.

- If you stay outside for longer periods of time

6. Beach and pool skin care
July is best for swimming either indoors or outdoors. But did you know that the chlorine or salt water can dehydrate and irritate skin? It is really important that you rinse off the chlorine or saltwater. Secondly, apply a hydrating lotion to keep your skin healthy. If you plan on sunbathing then sunscreen is also important.

This is the second category which involves your health which is very important in this glow up journey.
7. Social media detox
Take 1 day a week and do not involve yourself in any social media activity. Social media might make you think and feel that you are being left behind while in reality people are out there faking it. You need to know when to take a social media break and detox from what the world is trying to push on you. If you are not strong enough then set a day aside where you will not be on any social media app. Make this not only your mental glow up but also part of your July glow up goal.
8. Drink smoothies
I love smoothie as they are healthy and provide the body with the nutrients it needs without necessarily bulking you up and making you fat. 9. Eat less processed foods
Processed foods often have added chemicals, sugar, and salt, which aren’t good for your health. Eating unprocessed foods helps you stay at a healthy weight and avoid health problems. Whole foods have more vitamins, minerals, and fiber than processed foods. Make this a July glow up goal as it helps take care of your body really well.

10. Take daily walks
Daily walks are a simple yet effective way to incorporate physical activity into your July glow up goals. This helps you stay active and energized throughout the day. Additionally, walking outdoors allows you to enjoy the fresh air and natural surroundings, which can boost your mood, reduce stress, and improve mental clarity. Also remember that Regular walks can contribute to weight management by burning calories and improving metabolism.
11. Monitor your water intake
Water is necessary, especially in this summer period as it is hot and you lose water through sweating. learn to monitor your water intake so as to know when you need to replenish the water lost.
