Welcome to my realistic summer bucket list. This summer I am trying as much as I can to get out of my comfort zone. Last summer I really tried, I am an introvert and traveling is not my best hobby but at least I went to Paris which turned out to be amazing. So this summer I will be sharing my realistic bucket list which I hope you will get inspired by it. Let me know on the comment section which ideas will you be borrowing from my bucket list.

My Realistic Summer Bucket List
1. Go to the beach
I live about half an hour walk from the beach but I have not been there in the past two years. That is why this tops my bucket list. In the beach I will maybe dip my toes in the water and relax while enjoying the sunshine on my face and body. I was thinking of taking one of my balcony chairs which inclines to make it easier for me to enjoy the sun better.
2. Watch the sunrise
I am excited that Sami and I are moving into a new house which has the balcony facing the east so I can actually watch the sun rising from the comfort of my balcony. And since it is summer and the sun rises pretty early, I have to put an alarm to actually wake me up. But I am super excited about the whole idea.
3. Go on a double date
Never have I ever gone on a double date and this is the time to actually convince Sami to do so. I know it will take alot of convincing but fingers crossed he actually agrees to it.
Fun double dates ideas
- Outdoor mini golfing
- Escape rooms
- Bowling
4. Have a homemade pizza
I made my fast pizza at home five years ago and I totally loved it. It is amazing as you get to put healthy ingredients in it. Don’t get me wrong, I love me some greasy food but I am really trying to eat as clean as possible and take smoothies to help me flush out my gut. Below is an example of a smoothie that I regularly make and totally love it.

5. Have a movie marathon
Since during summer the light stays on for a long time, it would be awesome if I could have a stay up all night and have a movie marathon. I have seen there are new classic releases such as Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. I could rent them out and together others and watch at the comfort my home.
6. Go for morning runs
Since the title of this blog is my realistic summer bucket list, I will put the morning runs at least three in a week. I feel summer is such a great time to go for a run since there snow is no more and the weather is just amazing. Also in the morning at around 5:30 am the sun is not harsh at all. You could start by running a few blocks and increase according to your body’s liking.
Tips that will ensure you have a pleasant morning run
- If possible do it on an empty stomach.
- Have the outfit ready before going to bed.
- Do a some stretching to warm up your body before starting.
- Do a mixture of running, jogging and fast walking to make it easier for your body to keep up.
7. Read at least three books
An autobiography, a motivational book and a romantic novel. I love reading as much as I love writing. However, of late I have realized that my love for romantic novel has gone really down. I used to love Daniel Steel and I believe that I still have a novel or two that I have not yet read so maybe I will start from there
8. Picnic with close family members
Last year I never went for a picnic and I love picnics, I used to do them quite a lot of times in the past three years every summer and this feels like the summer that I finally get to go on maybe a minimum of three picnics. Below is a picture of me in 2020 when I had gone out for a picnic.

9. Visit one of the islands near me
I have been wanting to do this for quite a while now. It is cheap and easy to do so. All I have to do buy a ticket, plan what I do there, then go for it. It is a cool thing to do this summer and I am so ready for it.
10. Take a cruise ship
I have been doing this yearly, I take a cruise ship to the country that borders mine. It is totally awesome and I get to have a taste of the cruise ship dishes and the also the country that I am visiting. It is a great thing to do and it only takes a day to go and come back.
In conclusion, I will be doing all this things this summer. All I have to do is plan well and take a lot of pictures for memories sake.
